Our Trials Don’t Determine Our Outcome ………

Life has a way of surprising us—not always in the ways we expect, and not always in the timing we would choose.

Sometimes the greatest blessings begin in seasons that feel ordinary, uncertain, or even hard.

When I entered the beauty industry, I was a young, creative stylist with an excited heart. I wasn’t thinking about awards or where my career might someday lead. I simply loved creating. I loved learning. I loved creating beautiful hair and beautiful smiles. And I loved helping someone feel a little more confident when they looked in the mirror.

What I couldn’t see then was everything life had waiting for me.

There were long days, incredible mentors, self-doubt, setbacks, accomplishments, and plenty of surprises along the way. I worked extremely hard, but even with all that hard work, I could never have imagined where this journey would take me.

Somewhere along the way, that young stylist who simply loved what she did became an award-winning stylist, a mentor, and an educator.

If you had told that younger version of me this would one day be part of her story, I’m not sure she would have believed you. Not because she wasn’t willing to work for it, but because where she came from, a life like this simply didn’t seem possible. She had dreams; she just never really expected those dreams would come true for her.

And maybe that’s one of life’s greatest surprises.

We don’t always know what’s waiting for us on the other side of a difficult season. We don’t have to see the entire path before we begin walking it. Sometimes we simply have to keep showing up, keep learning, keep growing, and take the next step.

I’ve come to believe this:

Our trials don’t determine our outcome.

They may shape us. They may teach us. They may even change the direction we thought our lives were going. But they don’t get the final say.

Sometimes life has something waiting for us that we never even knew to dream about.
